Welcome to the Bioscience Center at the main campus of Yerevan State University. We are a community of scientific researchers and entrepreneurs dedicated to providing a vibrant education environment for our undergraduate and graduate students, while conducting advanced research led by the stewardship of our renowned faculty. Our approach is practical, and our research encompasses a wide range of discplines, including Biology and Bioarchaeology, and Genetics and Genomics. Our students, faculty and alumni benefit from close cooperations and collaborations working to solve the problems in diverse fields. Beyond excellence in education, our Center offers world-class services and continues to provide compelling evidence of groundbreaking new discoveries in translational research- benefiting both the general scientifc community and a host of industries and institutions in Armenia’s rapidly evolving socioeconomic, cultural landscape. The Center encompasses the disciplines of Biology and Archeology. It offers two master programs and short-term trainings for professionals and continuing education; these programs center on laboratory-based investigation and field work in the biological and archaeological sciences, and gives students the skills and research experience they need to succeed in a plethora of real-world contexts. The Bioscience Center is an umbrella facility encompassing Yerevan State University’s Departments of Applied Biology and Archaeology. Two masters programs are offered: the Practical Masters in Applied Biosciences, focused on Agriculture & Food Production Biotechnology, and the Research Masters in Archaeobiology. |
